We wanted to continue the 1st Birthday celebrations with a post dedicated to our favorites. Over the past year we have had a variety of posts ranging from dessert recipes to family nutrition tidbits. Our favorites are not necessarily the blog posts that have been viewed the most times, but posts that we are especially proud of. Of course all of our posts excite us, however there a few in particular that we were ecstatic about!
1. Our all time favorite: Skinny Chocolate Chip Cookie Cheesecake Cups
Not only was this recipe our favorite, but a few other people were quite interested in the recipe as it has been our most frequently viewed recipe. The combination of chocolate chip cookie, cheesecake, and caramel is quite a delicious combination. Did I mention this can be enjoyed for less than 150 calories?!
2. Breakfast Recipe: Flourless Pumpkin Oat Pancakes
A delicious healthy alternative to the standard pancake recipe. The flourless pancake offers less carbohydrates, while the pumpkin adds extra flavor. Topped with a yogurt drizzle you will not be able to get enough of this recipe.
3. Lite Eats: Avocado Chicken Salad Sandwich
Combine avocado, chicken , cheese, sprouts, and bread to create this scrumptious sandwich. By far one of our all time favorite sandwiches.
4. Proteins: Guilt-Free Turkey Shepherd’s Pie
Traditional Shepherd’s Pie recipes can offer high amounts of calories, however our recipe makeover will save you tremendous calories and still offer ample taste.
5. Veggies: Parmesan Crusted Roasted Vegetables
Veggies should be included at every meal – why not make them taste good? This recipe does just that! This recipe will be served at all of our upcoming holiday get togethers.
6. Starches: Low Fat Twice Baked Potato w/ Greek Yogurt
One of our family traditions made healthier. A few simple ingredient substitutions help to maintain a creamy and rich flavor.
7. Snacks: Apple Peanut Butter Pops
A perfect snack for all ages – portion controlled and tasty. Enough Said.
8. Starters: Quinoa Sliders w/ Dill Sauce
A creative twist on quinoa burgers. The cucumber “buns” and yogurt sauce create a refreshing flavor perfect as a meal or as a starter at your next party.
9. Fun Snack Creations: “The Beach”
We have so much fun with these! It was hard to choose our favorite. Research has found children respond to food presentation, so we must make it fun!
10. Nutrition Tibits: We are not just about recipes we have some other nutrition related posts…
