Happy 1st Birthday 360FN!
Wow I can not believe I started this blog exactly one year ago today with the post “The Importance of Meal Planning”! What a crazy adventure blogging has been! The blogging process has taught me a tremendous amount about cooking, starting a business, and taking photographs. And most importantly more about myself! My indecisiveness can be seen through my many banner changes! Unfortunately I am still a newbie to the blogging world and have so much more to learn.
I originally joined the blogging world in efforts to encourage entire families to make healthier dietary choices through nutrition tips and recipes. For the purpose of the blog the term refers to a group of people, affinity, or co-residence. I sought to change my readers view on food – proving families can enjoy their favorite foods. Further emphasizing “diets” are not the solution and lifestyle changes are imperative for lasting results. Children who learn how to make healthier choices at a young age are expected to struggle less with food choices in their adult years.
Have I been successful in meeting my goals?! The definition of success is not well defined, however I have confidence my blog is on the path to success. Sure I would love more readers. Of course I wish I had time to post more frequently. However overall I am satisfied with the quality and quantity of posts thus far. Over the past few months I have been thrilled to have a few of my recipes posted on popular online sites such as SpryLiving and DashRecipes.
To celebrate this exciting day I have created a lower fat chocolate cupcake iced with a strawberry yogurt icing. Most cupcakes have anywhere from 350 – 500 calories per serving. My delicious cupcake creation has less than 150 calories per serving! The applesauce and buttery spread substitutions help to lower the fat content, while the Greek yogurt in the icing offers added protein. Perfect for your next birthday party or celebration!
Happy Birthday 360FN!

I'll have to try the Greek yogurt icing as I love Greek yogurt and so do my kids! Thanks for sharing…I think we have a lot in common 🙂

Happy birthday!! What a lovely, healthy cupcake to celebrate with! Those gourmet cupcakes always look so fancy, but I'd much rather eat one (or two!) of yours. Plus strawberry and chocolate go together perfectly!
